Ingredients: Rava/Sooji/Semolina - 1/2 cup, Sugar - 1 cup, Water - 2 cups, Melted Ghee - 1/3 cup, Cooking oil – 1/2 tbsp, Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp, Yellow food color -2 pinches, Cashew nuts - few to garnish
Steps:
1. Heat ghee+oil. Roast the cashews and set aside. Roast the rava.
2. Boil 2 cups of water in a bowl adding food color. Add this water to the roasted rava. Mix and add salt. Cook on a medium flame till all the water is absorbed by the rava. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the sugar.
3. Keep stirring till the kesari bath becomes thick. Add cardamom powder and keep mixing till the mixture looks glossy leaving traces of ghee on the sides.
4. Transfer it to a ghee-greased bowl. Sprinkle cashews and serve hot.
This delicacy will gladden the heart for sure!
