Ingredients to make Khowa Poori:

2 cup maida, 3 cups sugar, 3/4th cup khova, 4 tbsp ghee, ½ cup milk, 1 tsp cardamom powder, oil for frying, water

Steps to make Khowa Poori:

1. Mix maida, 2tbsp ghee and milk and make a stiff dough. Add water if required. Keep it aside.

2. Heat kadai and add 2 tbsp ghee and crumbled khova. On low flame stir the khoya continuosuly until turns light golden in color.

3. At this time, khoya starts leaving the sides of kadai itself. One done, set it aside and let it cool.

4. Add 1 and ½ cup powdered sugar and cardamom powder to khoya. Mix well.

5. Make sugar syrup with remaining sugar and water of two string consistency.

6. Now pinch a small ball sized dough and roll it into small poori.

7. Put a spoon of khoya mixture in the centre of the poori and close the dges together. Roll it into poori again gently.

8. Deep fry the poori in oil till crisp and golden colour.

9. Soak them in sugar syrup for 5 minutes.

Drain the excess syrup and serve them hot or store it for later use too.
