    Ingredients to make Mango and Lentil Soup:

    ¼ cup cooked dal (lentils), ½ cup ripe mango pulp, 2 tsp. ghee and oil, 1 tsp. black pepper corns, 1 green chili slit, ½ tbsp. cumin seeds, ½ inch crushed ginger, 3 pods of garlic, 2 cups water and salt to taste

    Steps to make Mango and Lentil Soup:

    1. Grind the garlic, ginger, pepper corns, green chilli and cumin seeds together to a coarse paste.

    2. Heat ghee and oil in a pan and transfer the ground mixture and sauté for few minutes till you smell a smoky aroma.

    3. Add the mango pulp, mashed dal and sauté for few minutes. Add the dal stock (cooked dal water) for your required consistency

    4. Add salt and simmer for 2 minutes.

    Serve to your child to enjoy the spicy, tangy, and sweet soup.
