Moong Dal Dosa

Moong Dal is rich in protein and a very healthy pulse. You can prepare instant moong dal dosa for your child once the batter is ready as this batter does not require fermentation. Flavouring the batter with ginger and jeera, enhances the taste of this nutritious dosa. Its an ideal breakfast/snack preparation for children aged 3 years old.

    Ingredients to make Moong Dal Dosa:

    2 cups split yellow moong dal, ½ inch ginger, 1 tsp jeera, 4-5 sprigs of coriander leaves, salt to taste, 3 tsp oil

    Steps to make Moong Dal Dosa:

    1. Wash and soak the moong dal for 2 hours.

    2. Drain the water and grind to a smooth batter along with ginger and jeera.

    3. Remove the batter and add salt and coriander leaves. Give a good mix.

    4. On a hot tawa, pour one ladle of the batter and spread it evenly.

    5. Put 1 tsp oil on sides and on top. Cook on medium flame.

    6. Once the bottom side turns golden brown and crisp, flip and cook on the other side too.

    Hot, crisp, and delicious Moong Dal Dosa is ready for your child to relish. Serve warm with chutney or sambhar. Enjoy!
