You can prepare a delicious spread called Pear Honey for toasts or phulkas, using pears. Pears are an excellent source of vitamin C and fibre. The recipe is called pear honey as the colour is like that of honey once its prepared. Pineapple juice is also added in this recipe, which is also a good source of vitamin C, giving your kiddo's immunity a boost.

8 cups of chopped pears, 1 cup pineapple juice, 8 cups sugar
1. In a large vessel, put the peeled and chopped pears and pineapple juice.
2. Stir in sugar and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
3. Reduce heat to medium and cook till the mixture resembles honey in texture and colour. Keep stirring. This process takes about 2 hours. The longer you cook, the mixture turns thicker.
