Millets are very good for the little ones. They contain essential proteins, vitamins, and iron, making them a must-have in your child's diet. In Pearl Millet Halwa, we have the addition of jaggery, which is also an excellent source of iron. Hence this is a yummy and healthy dish at the same time, which you should definitely give a try!

1 cup pearl millet, ¾ cup jaggery, ½ cup butter, 2 cups milk
1. Soak the pearl millet for overnight with enough water.
2. To make the pearl millet milk, grind the soaked millet with two cup of water or milk and drain the milk using metal siever.
3. Again grind the millet solids with two cup of water, drain the milk and keep aside.
4. Continue the process till all the milk is taken out.
5. Separately make the jaggery syrup with a cup of water and keep aside.
6. To make the halwa, In a heavy bottom pan, add the prepared milk and two cup of water, mix well and cook over medium-simmer flame by stirring continuously.
7. When mixture turns little thick, filter the jaggery syrup into the halwa mixture.
8. Turn the flame into simmer and cook by stirring continuously. When the mixture turns into halwa stage (not too thick because it will harden when cooled), add the ghee little by little and mix well.
9. Switch off the flame. Cool the halwa and serve
