Shira is quite popular in Indian homes. It’s not just easy to make, it’s also quite versatile! You can change the flavor by adding a variety of fruits to it. Adding pineapple puree to the Sheera gives it a wonderful flavor and aroma and also important dietary fiber and bromelain (an enzyme). It aids in strengthening bones, reducing inflammation, curing coughs and colds

1 tbsp Ghee, 2 tbsp semolina (suji) , 1 cup riped pineapple, 2 tbsp gratted jaggery, 1 tbsp cashew powder, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1 cup formula milk, 1 tsp raisins
1. In a sauce pan, add water and pineapple chunks to boil until well cooked.
2. Now puree this mixture and keep aside.
3. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan and fry the suji on a low flame until aromatic.
4. Now add pineapple puree and milk in roasted suji and mix well.
5. Keep stirring to avoid lumps and at this stage, add grated jaggery, raisins, cashew and cardamom powder.
6. Cook till desired consistency isand switch off the flame.
Feed this flavourful and nutritious shira to your bundle of joy in lukewarm state.
