You can make protein packed idli/dosa using rice and combination of dals. Topping with vegetables, gives the valuable vitamins and minerals.The dosa can be made instantly as the batter does not require fermentation.

2 cups rice, ¼ cup each channa, tuvar and urad dal, 1 tomato finely chopped deseeded, 1 cucumber finely chopped, ½ onion finely chopped, salt as per taste
1. Soak the rice and dals together for 4 hours. Wash well and grind to form a batter. Add the salt as required.
2. On a hot tawa, pour one big spoon of batter and spread it.
3. Top it with finely chopped vegetables. Add 1 tsp oil.
4. Cook on medium flame. Once the dosa turns light brown, flip on the other side and cook for a minute
5. Yummy hot dosas are ready. You can also make idlis by pouring the batter in the idli moulds and topping with vegs. Steam cook for 5 mins. Hot idlis are ready.
This protein packed dosa/ idli can be served for breakfast or as a snack.
