Rava Dal Mix Porridge

Masoor Dal contain high levels of protein, fiber, folate, vitamin B1 and minerals and are an essential source of inexpensive protein diet. It helps to lower the cholesterol and manages blood sugar levels. They are a good source of potassium, iron, and serves as antioxidants. On the other hand, rava also provide energy and boost immunity along with serving as a main source in balanced diet. It is absorbed in the stomach and intestines at a slower rate. Rava dal mix porridge provides the goods of two in one bowl.

    Ingredients to make Rava Dal Mix Porridge:

    Moong dal- ½ cup, water -1 cup, rava- ½ cup, ghee- 1tbsp, cashew-few, and sugar- 1 tsp

    Steps to make Rava Dal Mix Porridge:

    1. Dry roast sooji in a tawa. It can be either powdered or used as whole.

    2. In a pan, h eat the 200ml of water and allow it to boil.

    3. Add moong dal and cook it for 10 minutes then add roasted sooji slowly to the boiling water and mix without lumps.

    4. After the sooji is 1/3 cooked, mix it continuously to prevent lump formation.

    5. When the sooji is 3/4 th cooked, a dd ghee and sugar.

    6. Mix well and switch off the flame after the sooji an dal is well cooked.

    Garnish with cashew and serve hot.
