Soft Ajwain Paratha

Ajwain is highly beneficial to your child as it helps in treating digestive issues like stomach ache, gas, flatulence, acidity. It further enhances appetite. It also acts as a laxative. Ajwain seeds are a rich source of minerals, fibre and anti-oxidants. Now you can include ajwain seeds in your child's diet in the form of parathas. This is pretty simple and easy to make.

Ingredients to make Soft Ajwain Paratha:

2 cups wheat flour, oil as required, 1 tsp. roasted ajwain powder, 1 tbsp. ghee, salt to taste and water as required

Steps to make Soft Ajwain Paratha:

1. Take wheat flour, ajwain powder, salt and oil in a mixing bowl.

2. Rub it with your hands so that the oil is mixed all over the flour.

3. Add water little by little and knead to make soft dough.

4. Drizzle some oil over the dough and cover it with clean wet kitchen towel and rest it for 15-20 minutes.

5. Make medium sized balls of the dough.

6. Roll the ajwain paratha dusting with dry flour.

7. Place the ajwain paratha on a hot pan and drizzle ghee on it.

8. When the paratha is cooked flip to the other side.

9. Keep flipping till brown spots are seen on the parathas.

Serve your child hot Soft Ajwain Paratha with raitha for today’s breakfast.
