Spicy Semolina Crepe

Spicy Semolina Crepe is a simple and easy to prepare. The taste is so delicious and your champ will love it even without the spices. No wonder if it becomes your champ’s favourite.

    Ingredients to make Spicy Semolina Crepe:

    1 cup semolina (Rava), ½ cup rice flour, ½ cup maida, 1 finely chopped onion, ½ tsp grated ginger, 2 spring curry leaves, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, 1 tbsp powdered black pepper, ¼ tsp cumin seeds, required amount of water, salt to taste, and oil

    Steps to make Spicy Semolina Crepe:

    1. Soak the roasted semolina in a bowl with one cup of water for an hour.

    2. Add maida and the rice flour to the bowl in which semolina is soaked and mix the required amount of salt to it.

    3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it, fry for a few seconds and add the chopped onions, curry leaves, black pepper powder and sauté for a few minutes and add them to the batter.

    4. Prepare the batter to a pancake consistency.

    5. Pour a ladleful of the batter in a heated pan and spread it out to a circular motion using the back of the ladle.

    6. Make the thickness of the crepe to your preference.

    7. Drizzle 1 tsp oil around the edges of the crepe and some in the center.

    8. Cook till it turns golden brown on the bottom.

    9. Flip over and cook the other side also.

    10. Serve hot with a cube of butter and some jaggery or coconut chutney.

    Your Champ will enjoy the taste of the semolina crepe with butter and sweet taste of jaggery.
