You can have an amazing and nutritious lentil preparation using buckwheat leaves and toor dal. Buckwheat leaves make a superfood, which are abundant in vitamin and minerals while toor dal contains valuable protein nutrient. This superfood saag can be flavored with mustard oil, which boosts immunity.

    Ingredients to make Superfood Saag:

    1 cup toor dal, ½ cup buckwheat leaves, 1 tsp mustard oil, salt as per taste

    Steps to make Superfood Saag:

    1. Wash the buckwheat leaves well and finely chop them.

    2. Wash the toor dal and keep aside.

    3. In a pressure pan, add oil. Once warm, add the leaves and saute well for 2-3 mins.

    4. Add the toor dal and salt. Mix well.

    5. Add 2 cups of water. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

    Superfood Saag is ready to be served. Serve hot with rice.
