This is a yummy and nutritious recipe that will give your child's taste buds an elevation due to its soft and fluffy texture. It is a good tea time snack that is served as a breakfast item as well.

2 cups idli batter, oil for greasing, 1/4 cup yellow moong dal washed and drained, 2 tbsp grated jaggery, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1/4 cup grated coconut
1. Take a pan and dry roast moong dal in it for about 5 minutes on medium flame.
2. When the mixture cools down then add jaggery, cardamom powder and grated coconut to it.
3. Mix well with your hands and then grease the idli molds with some oil.
4. Put 1 tsp of idli batter on it and add dal batter in the centre of the idli.
5. Steam these idlis in the steamer for 10-12 minutes and let them cook.
6. Allow them to cool down a bit and then take them out from the mold.
Serve with mustard seeds tempering or plain.
