    Ingredients to make Upma Bread:

    4-5 roughly torned wheat bread slices, 1 chopped onion, 1 chopped tomato, curry leaves, 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice, coriander leaves, 1 tsp urad dal, 1 tsp chana dal, salt as needed.

    Steps to make Upma Bread:

    1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds.

    2. When the seeds crackle add the curry leaves, urad dal and chana dal and fry for a minute. Add onion and sauté on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.

    3. Add the tomatoes, turmeric powder, 2 tbsp of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.

    4.Add lemon juice and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously.

    5. Add the bread, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously.

    6. Switch off the flame, add the coriander and mix well.

    Serve hot with home made tomato ketchup.
