Hand Print Family Tree

Making your child learn about family history is important and if you make this learning creative and fun-filled, it will make him interested in it. You can help your child with this activity to make it a bonding experience as well.

Requisites: Big chart paper/brown acrylic paint, sheets- brown, green, orange, family members’ photos, black marker, green acrylic paint, glue, scissors

Steps:

1. If space and painting on a wall are not an issue, then use the brown acrylic paint to design a tree trunk, branches and roots. Else use a brown sheet to cut down the tree and paste it on a big chart paper. Here, we are making it on a chart paper.

2. Thin out the green colour using water on a palette in such a consistency that your kid’s hand impressions can be made as green leaves.

3. Make a few leaves through green and orange colour. Paste it on chart paper.

4. Now, paste photographs of family members over the leaves.

5. Take a black marker and write down the name and relation with your kid on the top of the photos.

6. Tell your kid about the family members and their history.

7. You can cut down the photos in any shape you want to make it more attractive. If designed on a wall, it will be a good wall decor for your kid’s room.
