Make A Cereal Abacus

At this age, your child should be taught fun activities which keeps him happy. There are a variety of tasks which can be performed at home to offer knowledge to your kid. You can teach your child how to create an abacus with breakfast cereals.

Requisites: A thread pieces or straw, painting colors, clay cube and cereals.

Steps:

1. Take the cereal box and pour down several pieces in a bowl.

2. Now choose 4-5 different painting colors and paint cereals with those colors.

3. Let the cereal pieces dry and then take a straw and pass it through similar coloured cereal pieces.

4. When you have all the coloured cereal straws ready then you can fix them in a standing shape by poking each straw in a clay cube.

Ask your kid to observe and create his own abacus. This activity would help him learn about his fine motor skills.
