Make Fresh Fruits On A Plate

Team AckoFeb 8, 2024

With an urge to make your kid eat fresh fruits, let’s make a fun play out of paper plates to teach him Mother Nature’s gift-fruits! This will help him learn about colours and shapes, it will also help him learn to compare between objects.

Requisites: 5 medium-size paper plates, craft paint- red, green, orange, yellow, white, olive green, construction paper or kite paper- yellow, orange, green, pink, white, sketch pens: brown, yellow, orange, scissors, glue

    Steps:

    1. Paint the paper plates, one each colour- red, orange, olive green, green and yellow. Apply a second coat if required. Allow it to dry.

    2. For the kiwi plate (olive green), mix a little olive green with white to lighten it up and paint the centre of the olive green plate.

    3. Cut construction paper according to the size of the plate. Now make fruits accordingly.

    4. For an apple: Cut the circle from the white paper, ½ inch smaller in diameter than the red plate. Glue the white paper on the red plate. Cut the paper plate in half. Use brown sketch pen to draw seeds.

    5. For a watermelon: Repeat the steps done for the apple using pink paper and the green plate. Cut the pink paper to the 3/4th diameter of the plate.

    6. For an orange: Cut the circle from the orange paper, a ½ inch smaller in diameter than the orange plate. Fold the orange paper in half, thrice. Unfold it. Cut the centre part of each triangle formed. Attach the circle to the orange plate. Use a white sketch pen to draw seeds in the centre.

    7. For an lemon: Repeat the steps done for the orange using a yellow paper and yellow plate.

Now, teach your kid about these juicy fruits while making it fun to play with. You can use these fruits as a wall hanging in your kiddo’s room as well.
