The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a collection of over 550 islands in the Bay of Bengal, east of the Indian subcontinent. They form a union territory of India and are known for their pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and dense forests. Some of the top tourist attractions on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands include Radhanagar Beach, the Limestone Caves, the Howrah Bridge, Elephant Beach, and the Cellular Jail.
Radhanagar Beach is regarded as one of the most stunning beaches in Asia, and has even been named the seventh most beautiful beach in the world. It is a popular tourist destination due to its breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
The Limestone Caves can be found on the Baratang Island, which was previously isolated from the rest of the world. The island is home to dense forests, mud volcanoes, mangrove forests, and, of course, the limestone caves.
The Howrah Bridge is a popular destination located on the Laxmanpur Beach on Neil Island in the Andaman Islands. It is composed of large coral rocks that have been naturally stacked to form a bridge-like structure.
Elephant Beach is very popular among adventure seekers because it offers a variety of water sports activities. The medium and lively waves at the beach make activities like jet skiing, kayaking, speed boat rides, and banana and sofa boat rides more enjoyable.
The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Paani (meaning "Black Water"), was built by the British in 1906 and is a three-story prison. It is a pilgrimage destination for those who fought for India's freedom.
