Chhattisgarh is a state located in the central part of India. It came into existence on 1st November 2000 and is the country's ninth-largest state. It is resource-rich and one of the fastest-developing states in the country. The state also has several tourist spots which you can visit during holidays. The prominent places of this state include Chitrakote Falls, Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Bhoramdeo Temple, Kailash and Kutumsar Caves and Maitri Bagh.
The Chitrakote Falls are also known as the mini-Niagara Falls of India. You can view the spectacular sight of water falling from around 100 feet over here. Monsoon is the right time to visit this place when the falls are in their full glory
Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary is a perfect getaway if you are a wildlife enthusiast. Located around 100 km from Raipur, it features a flat terrain with small and high hillocks. You can get a sighting of animals such as Indian Bison, Sambhar, Wild Boars, Chital and Nilgai.
Bhoramdeo Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and it is believed to be built between the 7th and 11th centuries by the Nag dynasty. It is also called the Khajuraho of Chhattisgarh due to its resemblance with the famous Konark Sun Temple in Madhya Pradesh.
Kailash and Kutumsar Caves are a must-visit if you wish to witness the amazing creation of mother nature.
