Some of the prominent festivals of the state include Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bhai Pota, Eid-Ul-Fitr and Dol Purnima. Besides the colourful festivals, it is also known for its delicious delicacies.

Durga Puja is a well-known festival across the world. The Durga Puja pandals are the main attraction of this festival. Saraswati Puja is also a famous festival, and that day is considered an auspicious occasion to start learning.

Bhai Phota is a festival similar to Raksha Bandhan, strengthening the bond between brothers and sisters. Another major festival in the Muslim community of West Bengal is Eid-Ul-Fitr.
