The above rates are applicable for one year from the vehicle registration date in Arunachal Pradesh. Road tax can be paid online through the official website of the Arunachal Pradesh Transport Department or at any RTO office in the state.
Paying your Arunachal Pradesh road taxonline is quick and easy and can be done in a few simple steps.
Step1: Go to the official Parivahan website and find “Online Services” and click on “Vehicle Related Services”.
Step2: Select “Arunachal Pradesh” from the list of states.
Step3: Select your RTO where the vehicle is registered and click “Proceed”.

As per the provisions of the Arunachal Pradesh Motor Vehicles Taxation Act, 1989, any person who plies a motor vehicle on Arunachal Pradesh's roads without paying the prescribed tax shall be liable to pay, on conviction, a fine of not less than INR 500/- but which may extend to INR 5000/-.
In addition, such a vehicle owner shall also be liable to pay the amount of tax due along with interest thereon at the rate of 1% per month from the date from which such tax was due till the date of its actual payment.
