Commercial Vehicles Road Tax in Raipur

Commercial vehicles do not fall under any specific tax bracket. The tax amount in Raipur is calculated on a ‘per-seat, per-quarter’ basis, at Rs. 150 per seat per quarter.

For vehicles with an all-India permit, the road tax increases to Rs. 200 per seat per quarter.

How to Pay Raipur Road Tax Online?

You can pay the Raipur road tax both online and offline.

To complete the offline payment, you can visit any nearby district RTO offices operating in the state. After approaching the office, fill up the application form and submit all the required documents. You will receive a challan after paying the dues, which should be saved for future reference.  

Follow the steps mentioned below to pay the Raipur road tax online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Chhattisgarh Transport Department.

Step 2: Click on the ‘Vahan Services’ section and choose the ‘Online Payment’ option.

Step 3:  The website redirects you to another page.

Step 4: Access your account details by entering your application number and password.

Step 5: Select one of the available payment options (net banking or debit card) to pay your Raipur road tax online.

Step 6: With this, your online road tax payment is complete. You can now drive your vehicle in the state without any worries!

Penalty for Non-payment of Road Tax in Raipur

It is always recommended to make timely payment of Raipur road tax for your vehicle. If you fail to do so, you will be liable to pay a fine amounting to 1/12th of your tax amount, in addition to the road tax amount due.
