Himachal Pradesh which in Sanskrit means “land of the snow-laden mountains”, is one of a group of 13 mountain states in India. It features high mountains and deep-flowing rivers. Himachal Pradesh possesses one of the most bountiful reservoirs of biodiversity in the world and is home to many rare plants and birds.
Himachal Pradesh is also a major tourist destination with beautiful hill stations like Manali, Dharamsala, Dalhousie, Shimla, and Manali.
