e-challan is an electronic challan system offered by the traffic police department of Jharkhand. It's designed to make it easier for citizens to abide by the law by keeping track of any traffic fines they may have incurred, without needing to visit a police station or court in person.
Using the e-challan portal, citizens are able to check their tickets, generate payment invoices, pay any outstanding fines electronically, and track their payment progress all within minutes, no matter where they're located. All you need is an internet connection and you'll be able to access everything easily through a dedicated website.
Plus, this system can help identify when violations may have occurred so you don't get penalised unnecessarily in the future. Whether you've already been issued with a ticket or just want to be on the safe side and double check your driving record, e-challan makes it simple!
The e-challan system in Jharkhand is an efficient way to manage traffic violations and tickets. This is made possible by the installation of high-resolution CCTV cameras along the roads and highways. These specialised cameras are able to precisely detect any type of traffic offences, like overspeeding or jumping red lights. Once detected, an enforcement officer will enter the violation into their special app, issue a fine and record video evidence of the crime from the camera footage.
Other sources might also be used to verify data points, such as RTOs, Vahan and Sarathi Apps. The amount of fines for e-challans are automatically calculated based on different kinds of violations that occur on the road. This makes it easier for authorities to determine what kind of offense has been committed in order to correctly impose fines according to law.
