There are several reasons why you might need to make a passport enquiry:
Status of Your Application: If you have applied for a passport and want to know where it stands right now, you can do a passport inquiry.
Setting up an appointment: You may need to make or confirm an appointment at the passport office to have your documents checked or for an interview.
Document Requirements: You can ask to be sure you know what papers you need to apply for or update your passport.
Error Rectification: If there are mistakes on your application or passport, asking about them can help you figure out how to fix them.
Help with Other Things: If you have any other questions or worries about applying for a passport, making an inquiry can help you.
Making a passport enquiry is easy to do and can be done in person, online, or over the phone. Here are a few ways:
A. Online: Here are the steps to check the state of your passport online:
Step 1: Go to Passport Seva's home page.
Step 2: In the menu on the left, click "Track your Application Status."
Step 3: Choose the type of application from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Enter your file number and date of birth (DOB).
Step 5: Pick "Track Status" from the list.
B. Email: Some passport offices let you ask questions by email. There should be a reference number and a clear description of your question.
C. Passport Enquiry Number: Many passport offices have helplines that can be used to make inquiries. When you call the number and give them your reference number, someone will help you with your question.
