In this section, we have listed some of the most awaited Hero bike launches in India. Note that these details are based on the information available in the public domain. Please check with the Hero MotoCorp officials for more information.
The Hero Xtreme 160S is expected to borrow its styling from its elder sibling, the Xtreme 200S. While most design elements are similar, the bike is expected to offer higher fuel efficiency due to its frugal and smaller capacity unit. That being said, Hero MotoCorp is known to provide loads of features on their motorcycles and is affordably priced. When launched, it is expected to compete with the likes of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar 150, and Honda Unicorn 160, among others.
Engine capacity: 163cc oil-cooled single-cylinder engine
Max Power: 15bhp
Max Torque: 14Nm
Expected Price: Rs. 1.05 lakh onwards
With the tremendous success of the Hero Xpulse 200, the company is looking to up the ante with a higher-powered variant. The Xpulse 400 is being tested for its off-road and on-road capabilities. It is expected to offer better top speed, which is sorely missed in the 200 version.
Furthermore, being powered by a higher-capacity engine, the bike shall feature advanced electronics such as ride modes, dual-channel ABS, traction control, etc. It will rival the likes of the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the existing KTM 390 Adventure.
Engine capacity: 421cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder
Max Power: 40bhp
Max Torque: 40Nm
Expected Price: Rs. 2.70 lakh onwards
The company is testing the new 400cc engine with the Xpulse model and is also expected to power the upcoming Hero Xtreme 400S. Hero’s new model bike was spotted while being tested along with the Xpulse 400. The design cues are expected to be on similar lines as the 200 version. But, the most significant change will be in the form of a higher-capacity engine, advanced electronics, and premium features.
Upon launch, the bike shall compete with KTM RC 390, TVS Apache RR310, and BMW G 310 RR, among others.
Engine capacity: 421cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder
Max Power: 40bhp
Max Torque: 40Nm
Expected Price: Rs. 2.50 lakh onwards
The Hero Xtreme 200R is the naked sports version of the existing Xtreme 200S. The new model is expected to feature a 4-valve engine to offer a plush ride and push the top speed a little more with the bump in torque and power. The biggest advantage of this bike will be the pricing since Hero keeps its pricing lower than its competitors.
When launched, it shall compete with the likes of the KTM Duke 200, Yamaha MT-15, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200, among others.
Engine capacity: 200cc oil-cooled single-cylinder
Max Power: 18bhp
Max Torque: 17Nm
Expected Price: Rs. 1.30 lakh onwards
