Mix Flour Gruel is an amazing food preparation that is very healthy. It is rich in carbohydrates, protein, and fiber. A healthy combination of wheat and besan flour and when spices like chili, white pepper, and turmeric powder are added, it makes the dish tastier and boosts immunity of the one having it. In the end, you can flavor the gruel with desiccated coconut, which is a source of fiber and vitamin C, E, and lemon juice, which is a good source of vitamin C too.

Ingredients to make Mix Flour Gruel: 

¼ cup wheat and ¼ cup besan, 2 cups water, a pinch of turmeric, white pepper, ½ tsp oil, ½ tsp dessicated coconut, 1 tsp sugar, salt as per taste, 2-3 drops of lemon juice

Steps to make Mix Flour Gruel: 

1. In a pan, add oil and saute the wheat and besan till it emits a good aroma (approx. 5 mins).

2. In a vessel, add water, turmeric. Bring the water to a boiling state.

3. In the same pan on a medium flame, pour hot water slowly on the mix flour and keep stirring till everything is completely cooked. Ensure the consistency of the gruel is semi liquid. Finally, add salt, sugar, desiccated coconut, lemon juice. Mix thoroughly.
