Orange Pulse Puree

Arhar Dal is full of protein essential for your growing baby. Along with tomatoes, which are rich in vitamin and minerals, you can prepare a delicious orange pulse puree. Flavour this puree with salt and ghee and it tastes amazing. It is an excellent accomplice to plain rice or can be had just like that.

Ingredients to make Orange Pulse Puree:

½ cup arhar dal, 2 tomatoes, 1 tsp ghee, salt as required

Steps to make Orange Pulse Puree:

1. Wash the arhar dal and drain the water. Keep aside.

2. In a pressure pan, add ghee. Once warm, add the finely chopped tomatoes. Saute for 2 minutes. Add the arhar dal and salt. Mix well.

3. Add 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

4. Once the steam cools down, using a whisk, stir the cooked dal and tomatoes till you get an even texture of the dal.

Hot orange pulse puree is ready to be relished by your little one.
