    Ingredients to make Plain Soft Khichdi:

    Rice, dal, chopped onions, turmeric powder, salt as per taste, oil as required

    Steps to make Plain Soft Khichdi:

    1. Clean and wash the rice and dals separately.

    2. In a pressure cooker, heat some oil and add finely chopped onions.

    3. Saute for 5 minutes, then add the dals and rice, turmeric powder and salt.

    4. Add 1.5 cups of water, mix, and apply pressure.

    5. Cook in the pressure cooker for 10 minutes.

    The khichdi can also be pureed in a blender to make it more soft for smaller babies.
