Tasty Tea Porridge

One healthy start to your little one’s day is by feeding him porridge using peas. Peas have valuable vitamin and mineral nutrients. To add a nice texture and consistency to the tasty pea porridge, you can use rice flour. Flavour the porridge with ginger, onion, and spices like coriander and turmeric powder, all rich in vitamin and minerals.

    Ingredients to make Tasty Pea Porridge:

    1 cup peas, ¼ onion sliced, ¼ tsp ginger juice, ¼ tsp coriander seeds powder, a pinch of turmeric, ¼ tsp ghee, 1 tbsp rice flour, salt as per taste

    Steps to make Tasty Pea Porridge:

    1. Boil 1 cup peas and sliced onion in water. Once cooked, cool and blend to a puree.

    2. Dry roast coriander seeds and grind to a fine powder.

    3. In a kadai, add ghee. Once warm, add the rice flour and saute for 2 mins or till the raw smell of the flour goes away.

    4. Add the peas puree and mix well to ensure no lumps are there. If it's too thick, you can add little water. Keep on medium flame for 2 mins.

    5. Add the salt, ginger juice and spice powders. Mix well.

    Tasty Pea Porridge is all ready to be given to your baby for a healthy start of the day.
