Carrot puree is an excellent recipe for you to feed your baby during the weaning period as carrots are loaded with essential nutrients and minerals. Carrots are a rich source of manganese, copper, iron, potassium, folate, pantothenic acid, Vitamin B8, Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, dietary fibre and beta-carotene. Besides providing these essential nutrients, carrots help your baby in digestion, act as a natural laxative, is a remedy for diarrhoea and is an excellent remedy for intestinal worms.

Ingredients: 1 carrot, 1 ½ cups of water
Steps:
1. Peel and chop the carrots.
2. Cook the carrots with water in a pressure cooker till you get 2-3 whistles. Set aside for cooling.
3. On cooling, remove the contents and pour into a blender and make a smooth puree.
