Fried Peas Mash

You can feed your baby a healthy and tasty mash preparation using peas, which have valuable vitamin and mineral nutrients. Fried mash peas can be flavoured with onion, garlic, turmeric and herbs like basil and mint, all having vitamin and minerals that are needed for your baby to build his immunity.

    Ingredients to make Fried Peas Mash:

    1 cup peas, ½ onion, 2-3 sprigs of basil and mint leaves, 1 minced garlic clove, salt as per taste, a pinch of turmeric, ghee 1 tsp

    Steps to make Fried Peas Mash:

    1. In a pan, add ghee. Once warm, add garlic. Saute for one min.

    2. Add finely chopped onion. Saute for 2 mins.

    3. Add the peas, turmeric and salt.Fry the peas for 2 mins. You can sprinkle 1 tsp water.Cover with lid and cook the peas well on medium flame.

    4. After 2 mins, using a potato masher, mash the entire pea mixture.

    5. Finally add the basil and mint leaves.Give a thorough mix.

    Yummy Fried Peas Mash is ready to be part of your child’s mid morning or afternoon snack.
