Kubooli is a one dish meal where rice and channa dal, both rich in carbohydrates and protein rescpectively, are used. The rice is flavoured with ginger and turmeric, both a good source of vitamin and minerals.

Ingredients to make Kubooli:
1 cup basmati rice, ½ cup channa dal, 1 tsp ghee, 1 tsp ginger juice, salt as per taste
Steps to make Kubooli:
1. Soak rice for 15 mins and channa dal for half an hour separately.
2. Cook the channa dal in 2 cups water. It need not be squishy.
3. Cook the rice in 2 cups water.Once you add rice in the boiling water,add the ghee, turmeric and ginger juice.
4. In a kadai, layer the cooked rice and channa dal alternately. Simmer, cover with lid and cook for 2-3 mins.
Delicious Kubooli is ready! You can serve with curd. Enjoy feeding this yummy rice preparation.
