Rice and Moong Dal is a super-food combination. Rice has carbohydrates while moong dal has good amount of proteins. You can prepare delicious Mashed Dal Rice for your baby for his lunch/dinner with these ingredients. Flavour this dish with ghee and garlic, and it tastes awesome. Ghee has fats while garlic has vital vitamin and minerals.

½ cup rice, ¼ cup moong dal, 1 tsp ghee, 1-2 garlic cloves
1. Wash the moong dal and rice well. Drain the water and keep aside.
2. In a pressure pan, add ½ tsp ghee. Once the ghee is warm, add the minced garlic. Saute for a minute.
3. Add the moong dal and rice. Give a good stir.
4. Add 1.5 cups of water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
5. Once the steam gets cooled, add the remaining ghee on top of the cooked dal rice. Give a final good mix.
Yummy Mashed Dal Rice is ready to be tasted, eaten and relished by your baby.
