Treat your baby to some delicious mashed khichdi using this recipe. This recipe is made using rice and moong dal, both of which are highly nutritional. Rice is a rich source of Vitamin B1, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, dietary fibre, niacin, Vitamin D, calcium, fibre, iron, thiamine and riboflavin. Moong dal is rich in manganese, potassium, magnesium, folate, copper, zinc, B Vitamins, protein and dietary fibre.

Ingredients: 1 tbsp. split moong dal, 2 tbsp. rice, a pinch of turmeric powder, 2 cups water.
Steps:
1. Wash and clean the rice and dal and soak it in water for about 30 minutes.
2. Later, drain and put all the ingredients into a pressure cooker and cook till you get 3 whistles.
3. On cooling, mash the ingredients and serve.
Ideally, you should wait for a couple of weeks after starting solid food and then serve this khichdi to your baby. So try out this recipe today!
