Methi Dal Soup

Methi is rich in iron, magnesium, and potassium, while moong dal has protein. You can make a mouthwatering methi dal soup for your baby. Flavour this dal soup with salt and ghee, and the resultant appetizer tastes fantastic.

    Ingredients to make Methi Dal Soup:

    ½ cup moong dal, 1 tbsp methi leaves, 1 tsp ghee, salt as required, 1.5 cups of water

    Steps to make Methi Dal Soup:

    1. Wash the moong dal. Drain the water and keep aside.

    2. Wash the methi leaves and finely chop them.

    3. In a pressure pan, add ½ tsp ghee. Once the ghee is warm, add the chopped methi leaves. Saute for 2 minutes.

    4. Add the moong dal and give a good stir. Add salt and water.

    5. Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

    6. Once the steam is cooled, check the consistency of Methi Dal Soup. If needed, you can add water to get a soup like consistency.

    Add the remaining ghee, give a stir and feed this tasty and healthy appetizer to your baby. Enjoy.
