Rice and moong dal is a healthy and ideal combination to prepare yummy wholesome Mix Veg Khichdi, a one pot meal for your child to get all the necessary vital nutrients for her growth and good health. Veggies and ghee enhance the taste and nutrition of this lunch/dinner preparation.It is one of the excellent food choices while introducing solids to your little one.
Contents
4 tsp rice, 2 tsp moong dal, a pinch of turmeric, salt as required, ½ tsp ghee, 3-4 pieces of diced carrot and potato, 3-4 beans
1. Wash and soak the dal and rice for 20 minutes.
2. Finely chop the beans.
3. In a pressure pan, add ghee. Add turmeric and veggies. Saute for 2-3 minutes. Add salt
4. Add the soaked dal rice. Give a good mix.
5. Add 1 cup water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
Hot and delicious Mix Veg Khichdi is ready for your baby to devour and relish. Serve warm. If required, you can mash the veggies and dals with a potato masher and then feed your baby.
